The course begins with an introduction to basic compositing techniques including layering, editing and sequencing of images for digital video output. Students then progress to more sophisticated techniques such as creating visual effects through image layering, keying, and motion tracking. Other topics covered include workflow from other applications, effects controls, nested compositions, parenting layers, working with 3-D layers, image distortion and vector paint.
